Or look through the eyes of the renowned 17th century artist Rembrandt, or those of Maria Trip, a lady whose portrait he painted. She belonged to the upper class during the Golden Age. Listen to stories about Jewish Amsterdam, and see the city through Anne Franks' eyes. Experience various historical ages, and enjoy contemporary Amsterdam through the eyes of a local guide who shows you the most beautiful places in town while sharing compelling stories. Eyes on Amsterdam private tours, in and around Amsterdam

Mokum, the Jewish name of the city, is a city like no other. From a swampy, medieval fishing village at the mound of the Amstel river, it grew out to become the most prosperous trading town on earth in the 17th century, where the whole world met. A love for tolerance, the arts, culture and architecture is the common theme in the history of the city. The legacy of this can be found on each corner and along each canal in town. Discover how the past has shaped the city, and fuelled the dynamic nature of contemporary Amsterdam.

Below you can find a few tour suggestions. Since the walking tours are private, the itinerary can be changed according to your wishes, like the starting- or ending point, the route and the theme.
Tours per bike, minivan, bus or boat are possible if you arrange the transportation yourself.
